In undertaking the upgrading of this popular model we were conscious of the huge following for probably the last of the true Lotus 7 replicas.
We have been concerned therefore to maintain the proportions of the original Locust whilst improving the potential build quality and ease of assembly.
A slightly taller & wider windscreen, with SVA rounded edges, improves forward vision considerably. The wider cockpit enables the fitting of 'proper' fully reach & rake adjustable supportive seats for long distance comfort.
The availability of the new pre-cut Medite Exterior® MDF panel sets, incorporate a lockable boot to take your tools and jack, and even a proper weekend case.
Industrial two-part fastenings and the ease of transfer of the donor parts make build times much quicker and more accurate.
The new, low profile, one-piece GRP moulded tunnel cover makes the interior much roomier for larger drivers.
Throughout the upgrade we have paid great attention to the requirements of the new SVA Regulations to ensure that builders have a fuss-free pre-registration test.
As our vehicles are classed as 'Kit Conversions' they would usually be registered in the UK with an Age Related number plate from the donor car.
